The Department of Physiology and Biochemistry provides students with a practical understanding of how the human body functions and how biochemical processes contribute to health and disease.
The department's laboratory can accommodate 25 students for practical experiments. A range of educational models and charts are displayed to support students in understanding physiological processes and important concepts covered as part of their curriculum.
Students gain hands-on experience in basic haematology and biochemistry investigations, along with practical training in important physiological measurements such as blood pressure, electrocardiography (ECG), and basal metabolic rate (BMR).
